The Financial Policy Council, riding high on a series of successful events that began with a Global Financial Summit in the Bahamas in March, and culminated in a powerhouse symposium on Global Health presented by bigbang Health, announced it will host a special 6-person panel on Applied Artificial Intelligence in New York City on September 8th.
The event will address the way that Applied AI is poised to radically reengineer the future of the service economy and its business models. From driverless cars, to healthcare, to finance, to supply chain, to outsourcing, to selection of human resources, artificial intelligence is restructuring the business models and solutions of tomorrow.

Suicide Prevention Partners with First-Ever Houston Jerk Fest to Drive Awareness and Save Lives

On September 10, the first-ever Houston Jerk Fest will not only bring local families together for food and fun, but also raise money and awareness for mental health issues during National Suicide Prevention Week. The annual campaign is observed Sept. 5-11 and was created to reduce the stigma around suicide, share information about warning signs and encourage support and assistance for those who have considered or attempted suicide.
Wykisha McKinney, a local spokesperson for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be on hand at the Houston Jerk Fest to share her story and share ways that local residents can work together to create a culture that’s smart about mental health. McKinney lost her brother to suicide in 2004, and overwhelmed by grief, slipped into a depression, which almost resulted in her own suicide attempt. Today, the and announced that they will be hosting an unveiling and autograph signing for the first ever Front Row Amy bobbleheads on Saturday, August 27th at 4pm. The unveiling and signing will take place at AJ Collectables new store, which is located at 7201 W. National Ave. in West Allis (formerly Gunderson’s Sports Cards). The autograph signing will take place between 4pm and 5pm.
